Before you can install the plug-in, you must have PHPMembers Username Plug-in and Joomla 1.5 installed on your website, and PHPMembers and Joomla must share the same database. You should create username “admin” for your administrator accounts in both PHPMembers and Joomla. And your Joomla system should only have default user accounts.

Download Joomla Plug-in

The plug-in is available for download from the plug-in page. It is distributed as a zip package file. You need to unzip it and upload it to folder “plug-in” in the system.

Run Installation Wizard

To run the installation wizard, click on “plug-ins” on the system main menu, and then click on the install link of the plug-in. The installation wizard asks for the following settings of the plug-in.

• Joomla! Path: The path you installed Joomla 1.5.

• Joomla! Table Prefix: Prefix of Joomla table names in MySQL database. By default it is “jos_”.

• Username Plug-in: Username plug-in of PHPMembers.

Remove install.php

After you finish the installation wizard, you must remove install.php in the plug-in folder immediately.
